Our Learnings

What We’ve Learned

Learning is one of our core values.

We see learning not only as reflection, but as a responsibility. It helps us understand what is working, where gaps remain, and how we can support schools more thoughtfully over time.

We track and review our work through ongoing monitoring and evaluation, and we share what we learn through quarterly and annual reports. These insights guide how we adapt our programmes and strengthen long term impact.

2024 Annual Impact Report

  • Period Dignity and Attendance

Before our PADs programme, many girls reported missing school during their menstrual cycle. Following the distribution of over 800 packs of sanitary pads, alongside facilitated conversations on menstrual health, school attendance increased by more than 50%.

This reinforced the importance of pairing practical support with open, informed discussion.

  • Child Rights Education

Our child rights workshops, grounded in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, showed how awareness can shift behaviour. Within four weeks, students’ understanding of child rights increased by 50%. Many began sharing this knowledge with peers and family members.

This highlighted the role children can play in spreading understanding when given clear, relevant information.

  • Behaviour and Engagement

In 2024, we reached 940 students across 16 schools through workshops addressing antisocial behaviour.

We learned that positive behaviour is more likely to develop when children understand why their actions matter and when learning is delivered in ways that reflect their everyday experiences.

“Students learned to recognise behaviours that impede progress and became more mindful within their communities.”
