Now studying at a training college with the goal of becoming a professional nurse, Amwanbey Francisca credits Homeland Ghana Educational Foundation for shaping her academic journey. Through mentorship, guidance, and encouragement, she gained the confidence, discipline, and determination to pursue a career in healthcare.
My name is Amwanbey Francisca. Currently, I am pursuing my education at a training college with the goal of becoming a professional nurse.
Homeland Ghana Educational Foundation played an important role in shaping my academic journey. Their support and presence in my school encouraged me to take my education seriously and to believe that I could achieve my dreams. They helped create an environment that motivated students like me to focus on our studies and plan for a better future.
Before the arrival of the Homeland Ghana team in my school and community, there were challenges we faced like, limited educational support and fewer opportunities that motivated students to aim higher in their education. Many of us lacked encouragement and guidance to help us focus on our future goals.
One memorable moment during my encounter with Homeland Ghana was seeing how dedicated they were to supporting students and improving our learning environment through the activities and workshops they organised. Their involvement made many of us feel valued and hopeful about our future and through their support, I noticed positive changes in myself. I became more confident, more disciplined in my studies, and more determined to succeed. I also developed a stronger sense of responsibility towards my education and my future goals.
The Homeland Ghana team influenced my career path by helping me understand the importance of education and service to others and I was inspired to pursue a career in healthcare, where I can use my knowledge and skills to help people and improve the wellbeing of my community. I am also inspired to contribute positively to my community and develop a mindset of service, especially through my chosen field in healthcare, where I hope to help people live healthier lives.
Being part of Homeland Ghana’s impact story means a lot to me because it shows that when students are supported and encouraged, they can grow, achieve their dreams, and become people who positively impact society.
The journey before, during, and after their intervention has been very meaningful to me and the support helped shape my mindset, strengthened my commitment to education, and motivated me to pursue my dreams with determination. I am grateful for the role they played in encouraging students like me to believe in ourselves and work towards a better future.
