Honor Roll is a committed community that regularly gives to our work to ensure the conditions and provisions are in place to enable children to stay in school, participate fully, and learn well.

Why Honor Roll Exists

Across basic schools in the Builsa North District, many children face challenges that limit their full participation in education, including limited access to learning resources, training, and workshops that support their learning, as well as wider systemic barriers. Honor Roll exists because creating the conditions for children to thrive requires sustained and consistent support.

Who Honor Roll Is For

Honor Roll is for people who:

  • Believe education is a right
  • Want to belong to something values led and purposeful
  • Care about children having the chance to fully participate in learning
  • Want their giving to have visible, meaningful impact

Honor Roll Friends

Honor Roll Friends are people who simply want to stay closely connected to our work and be kept in the loop about our impact.

 

There is no payment and no expectation, just a shared interest in the work and space to decide how best to support it.

Honor Roll Members support the work through monthly giving. This includes providing learning materials, menstrual products, and workshop resources.

 

Honor Roll Members receive regular updates, stay closely connected to the team, and are recognised as part of a values-led community. Most importantly, they know their support is handled with care and is making a real difference over time.

What does Homeland Ghana do?

We work with schools and local authorities in Ghana to improve children’s participation in basic education. Our focus is on creating the conditions that enable children to stay in school, participate fully, and learn well.

Basic education is important for work and for life. When children stay in school and learn well, they build skills like reading, confidence, and communication that help them in the future.

Honor Roll is a committed community that regularly supports our work to help ensure the conditions and provisions are in place for children to stay in school, participate fully, and learn well.

Some people follow our work and stay connected as Honor Roll Friends, receiving updates and learning alongside us. Others choose to commit more consistently as Honor Roll Members through regular giving that supports the work over time.

You receive regular updates from our work, stories from schools, and insight into how children are being supported to learn and stay in school.

When you choose a giving option, your support is spent in that area of our work. We plan and deliver it based on school needs and timing, so it is used well and stays focused on what you chose.
