Before Homeland Ghana’s support, I faced some barriers to my basic education and felt
uncertain about my future. Their intervention was a turning point, gradually enabling me to
pursue my passion in education. Support with educational materials like books, uniforms,
stationery and many more helped me focus on my studies. The academic advice and
mentorship I also received gave me clarity on my career goals and prepared me for the future.
A memorable moment was when Homeland Ghana renovated my former junior high school,
Siniensi JHS, providing us with a conducive learning environment and making learning fun for
us. It was amazing to see the impact of their support on our school community and many other
schools were renovated as well. They conducted many workshops in my school and my
favourites were the adolescent representative health club and the group discussions after. I
have seen significant personal growth, increased confidence, improved self-esteem, and a
stronger sense of purpose. The support and encouragement from Homeland Ghana has made
me more resilient and motivated me to make a positive impact in my education and their
influence on my career path has been profound. Their emphasis on community development
and social responsibility has inspired me to become a good student who can make a difference
in my community and due to this, I am committed to contributing to educational development in
basic schools.
I’m very grateful and thankful for the support of Madam Rhoda Agiliko, founder of
Homeland Ghana Educational Foundation. l appreciate her team’s support and look forward to
making a positive impact as a person supported by Home Land Ghana Educational Foundation.
