It started with one school visit.

In 2017, our founder Rhoda Agilinko returned to her hometown of Siniensi, in the Builsa North District of Ghana’s Upper East Region, and asked to visit a local school.

What she found was not unique to Siniensi. Classrooms were overcrowded. Desks were broken or missing. Learning materials were scarce. School buildings bore the marks of years of underinvestment – making an already difficult job harder for teachers, and learning harder for children.

Many would have seen the need and left disheartened. Rhoda asked a different question: What would it look like to actually do something?

By the end of that year, she raised funds to return with basic supplies and support for one school. It was a small start, but it was a start.

That one act of returning became a commitment to stay.
