The Village of Siniensi
Upper East Region, Ghana
In June 2017, our founder, Rhoda Agilinko, found herself back in Ghana, in her hometown in a small district called Builsa North. Asking to see schools in the local community, she was led to a rundown school with overcrowded classrooms and limited learning materials. The conditions were far from conducive to an effective learning environment.
Rhoda was deeply moved by what she saw and wanted to make a difference. By December of that year, she had raised enough funds to return to Siniensi and initiate a project to support one local school and provide better educational resources for teaching and learning. This marked the beginning of our organisation’s journey to improve the standard of teaching and learning in basic community schools.
We want to ensure that every child in Ghana can attend and thrive in education, no matter their family’s income.
Children are always in school and learning well.
