6 Years Of Quality Education For Children In Ghana

Educating the youngest members of our society is crucial for building a better future. It helps create healthy communities, strong economies, and contributes to the overall wellbeing and happiness of our children. Homeland Ghana Educational Foundation is dedicated to nurturing the role of schools in children’s lives, ensuring that they have access to quality education and resources while promoting regular school attendance.

Our efforts focus on addressing the obstacles that prevent children from attending school and concentrating on their studies. We believe these obstacles are often linked to a lack of resources and cultural factors. To tackle these challenges, we distribute tailored uniforms, menstrual hygiene products, and stationery supplies. Additionally, we offer training programs to address community issues in the region.

As we celebrate our sixth anniversary, we reflect on the milestones we have achieved since our establishment. Our journey began in 2018 when we completed eleven chalkboard renovations in two schools, marking our first official project. In 2021, with the support of over 300 donors from 21 countries, we constructed a toilet block in one of our primary partner schools. The following year, we launched our flagship Child Rights Training Programme to address the knowledge gap in child rights and child abuse protection in the region. Our dedication to expanding our reach led to delivering resources and training to 1,100 children across 20 community schools in 2023.

Building on the success of our Child Rights Education Training, which has received accolades from the Social Welfare Department and the Ghana Education Service, we are introducing new programs focused on Substance Abuse and Anti-Social Behaviour. By broadening our scope, we aim to address crucial issues that hinder children from accessing and benefiting from education. Our mission is clear: to bring quality basic education to every child in local communities. Our partnership with local community schools in Ghana enables us to provide workshops and resources that support children in school and ensure they receive a good basic level of education.
